Case 0001 - Watkins Glen, NY
In this case we are in search of "The Devils Throne"
The story goes that back when an un-named camp first opened, the campers would go to a large flat clearing in the woods. About 10-15 feet from the area at which the campers would sleep is a steep hill (about 80deg), with a large creek at the base of it. A boy named Riley was found in the creek at the base of this hill one morning after a campout. He was thought to have slept walked off the side of the hill. After his death a cluster of trees grew in tightly together, resembling a throne. The place where you would sit is said to contain a face and has since become known as "The Devils Throne"
Our initial investigation took place on May 4, 2009 during the daytime since we were not aloud to be there after hours because the trails that run to and from this general location are part of the State Park. After hours of hiking the trail we were unable to find "The Throne" but did take many cool photos of a few of the things we did find. Further investigation upcoming, weather permitting.
